About Angela Guerrero
I've been a dedicated stay-at-home mom to our five children - a daughter and four sons-for the past 26 years. My husband and I have been married for 31 years. Our children's ages range from 17 to 26, and I've homeschooled all of them full-time for the last 22 years. We are also proud Mimi and Papa to our 3-year-old granddaughter and new grandson.
Since four of our children have graduated high school with their Associate of Science degrees and the fifth is currently a senior enrolled in dual credit classes, I am pursuing my passion to give back to the homeschool community through mentoring and consulting to help navigate the challenges homeschooling can bring.
Homeschool Approach
God's Purpose in Action believes each child is a gift from God, created on purpose for a purpose. Ephesians 2:10 tells us: “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Everyone has been given work to do for God's glory. As parents, we are to “Train up a child in the way he should go” (Prov. 22:6) by nurturing their individual needs and gifts.
God's Purpose in Action homeschool consulting recognizes the need to focus on each child's needs, each subject, and each year rather than comparing to others. To meet those needs, we should rely on the Holy Spirit through prayer and wise counsel.
Discipling the child's heart is paramount. We value prioritizing the parent/child relationship over merely the teacher/student dynamic.
Learning extends beyond the classroom. Teachable moments throughout the day that develop godly character, service, responsibility, and hard work make homeschooling unique from traditional schooling.
